Making PhotoMalaysia proud

A snapshot of the article that appeared in The Star Education yesterday.

There’s a thread in PhotoMalaysia about this.

And the online version of the article here.

Congratulations to all four of them again!

Crossing torchlight with a finger

Was procastinating with homework.

Off my bedroom lights and fooled around with a torchlight and my finger.

Shot this, which inspired me to take a better one. Like this.

Cat, dog, kids, mum

Haha. A very straight-forward title for this post.

Exam’s just around the corner. So won’t be posting here for awhile. If there are postings, they are most probably scheduled.

So before i leave, a few pics. This time, with more words.

Poor cat
This was shot outside my car porch. The poor cat’s right eye was infected. You’ll see it if you look close enough. Which is also why it keeps closing it’s eyes.

The cat’s from the wild, so don’t expect nicely groomed fur or exotic spesies of any sort.

White Dog
My neighbour’s pet dog.

Kids on lorry
Kids playing on truck, during the critical haze season.

Mum in the Kitchen
Preparing dinner. That’s mum.

Wearing Socks?
Mum was in the kitchen, me in the living room (Yes, my house is that small). The socks, my school white socks, in fact, looks just in the right place. So i shot.

Sis had a good laugh when she saw this.

Backlit curtains
Backlit curtains in my room.

Will have to take leave from PM (not Prime Minister lah) for a while. Tight schedule coming up.

Train Station in KL

After the Hiroshima Day Peace March, dad and i headed to the train station to get a ride to MidValley. Dad, for some reason, didn’t feel like driving that day.

Some shots from the train station.

Look closer and you’ll see the woman is actually yawning. Hehe.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Note the reflection from the train windows of another train from the opposite lane. That’s my dad by the way.

How come there is a water pipe in the middle of the railway?

This one is crappy. Bleh!

Hiroshima Day Peace March

Photos from Hiroshima Day Peace March, my first shooting outing.

Thanks dad for shoving me into the crowd.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Didn’t know a couple of them were looking at my camera when i shot this. Though crappy, this photo also marks the starting of my first outing. Cheers!

No idea what’s with the pasu (vase?) thing.

“We want Peace! We want Peace!” in the background.

The blurred effect was done unintentionally.

Mistake while resizing. Note: Dad said that they looked like they’re carrying a coffin. LOL

This photo is back 500x375 again. How come? Okay. “No More Hiroshima”

They were posing for the photographers. I dare not go to the middle. Had to take this shot from the side in the end.

Look carefully and you’ll see someone was posing the ‘peace’ sign for me.

Scared of all the bomb talk, kid?

Some kids having free drinks.

I took around 150 shots altogether. These are the few which looks less crappier.

According to the histograms, many of my shots were correctly exposed. But i don’t think so. The contrast is low and i think many were overexposed, probably beacuse of the bright sunlight and a few underexposed.

Actually, there’s a few more from which i shot after dad and i left the place. But i’ll leave that to another post ;)

No idea why some of the pics are big and some are small. I resized them all to 500x375 before uploading to Photobucket.

*None of the photos above are cropped. Although i think many would need it.

As this is a photoblog, i keep words to a minimum. If you would rather read than look, try my other post.

Window shooting

They have window shopping. It’s not shopping for windows.

This, is window shooting. So it’s not shooting windows either.

The following photos are all shot from a single window. So i can’t help them being shot from the same perspective.

Uncle Anon B&W
Patiently waiting.

Uncle Anon
Damn the without-tripod-effect.

Uncle Anon
Same without-tripod flaw with this one.

Strolling
How come it’s blurred at the bottom? And i didn’t managed to get the person in focus.

Moshi moshi
The horizon or whatever it’s called looks crooked. Hmm…

*sigh*

Chocolate Delight

Long time no update.

Here’s some i took a few hours ago.

You see, i didn’t get anything for mom on her birthday in July. She was joking that she wants a chocolate cake she saw from a brochure.

She wasn’t all that serious, but dad went to the supermarket and got her one today, telling her i paid for it. Hehe. Dad even called me beforehand to tell me-he bought the cake, and told mum i bought it-the whole plan to make sure i won’t ruin the big conspiracy.

Some boring ones first…

Here’re some close-ups.

Chocolate cake

Too dark… Underexposed should be the word.

Did some editings to get this.

Better?

Got lots more photos, but it’s late (as usual). So until next time. ;)
