Chocolate Delight
Long time no update.
Here’s some i took a few hours ago.
You see, i didn’t get anything for mom on her birthday in July. She was joking that she wants a chocolate cake she saw from a brochure.
She wasn’t all that serious, but dad went to the supermarket and got her one today, telling her i paid for it. Hehe. Dad even called me beforehand to tell me-he bought the cake, and told mum i bought it-the whole plan to make sure i won’t ruin the big conspiracy.
Some boring ones first…

Here’re some close-ups.

Too dark… Underexposed should be the word.
Did some editings to get this.

Better?
Got lots more photos, but it’s late (as usual). So until next time.

Birthday, chocolate cakes and surprises.. sounds like something that was done for my dad’s birthday in June
The cake looks delicious!!

hi viv,
good job on the macro! sorry, i knw you said before, but what digicam are you using?
there should be a feature in the camera that allows you to select the lighting. the light setting you used swallows up natural chocolate colour. i find that using flash does that, so i try to do without flash and use a “warmer” light setting.
it’s no masterpiece, but do take a look at the cupcake picture on my site.

tim: No. Sorry. Actually, it kinda sucks.
spot: It’s a IXUS 700. Checking out your pics…
The natural colour isn’t chocolate, it’s black. (Nearly)pitch black. The flash made it look brownish. Or was it originally brown?
And it’s under fluorescent lighting. I dunno much about lightings, probably more experiments will help.
And thanks for your comments again!
